This includes interdisciplinary and individualized majors and dual degree programs. The main campus of the school is found on 192 acres of wooded land found just three miles west of Birmingham. The college offers 45 buildings that house athletics, academic, residential, and administrative programs.
Birmingham Southern College is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III. The college currently fields several sports including Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, Tennis, Track & Field, Swimming, Softball, and Volleyball. The school competes in the Southern Athletic Association. The school colors are black and gold and the school nickname are the Panthers. The school's own Panther Stadium features a state of the art athletics building that has top of the line sports facilities including several meeting rooms, coaches' offices, training rooms, locker rooms, and dressing room.
